  • Straight Corrugation (Vertical Corrugation)

Straight corrugation, also known as vertical corrugation, refers to a corrugated board structure where the ridge lines of the corrugations run parallel to the long edge of the board, and the crease lines align with the direction of the corrugations.

    Structural Characteristics

    > Corrugation direction: The corrugations extend vertically (along the long side of the carton) to form upright supports.

    > Crease direction: Folding creases follow the same direction as the corrugations to prevent rupture of the corrugated ridges.

    > Flute options: Flutes A, C, B and E are commonly available; Flutes A and C are preferred for straight corrugation thanks to their higher flute height and superior cushioning performance.

    Core Performance

    > High compressive resistance: The vertical supporting structure delivers high edge crush strength and better load-bearing capacity than cross corrugation.

    > Excellent rigidity: It resists bending along the corrugation direction and maintains stable performance under vertical load.

    > Easy folding: Creases aligned with the corrugations enable neat folding without ridge breakage, making it ideal for automatic carton gluing.

    > Anisotropic property: High strength along the corrugation direction yet weaker strength perpendicular to it; the load-bearing direction must be considered during structural design.

FAQ
  • Q: Can I get free samples?

Regular small‑quantity samples are free of charge, but shipping costs are borne by the buyer. Custom printed samples require a plate‑making/setup fee, which will be refunded when you place a formal bulk order.

  • Q: How long does sampling take?

Plain (non‑printed) samples take 1‑2 days; color‑printed samples with logos take 3‑5 days.

  • Q: How do I choose the right flute type (E/F/G/X/S, etc.)?

E‑flute is mainly used for finished cup sleeves; F and mini‑F are commonly used for milk tea cup sheets; G/X fine flutes are suitable for delicate color corrugated and high‑end cup sheets. We can provide selection recommendations based on your specific application.

  • Q: What standard cup sleeve sizes do you stock?

We keep four common sizes in stock: 8oz, 12oz, 16oz, and 20oz. Non‑standard sizes can be custom‑made with mold development.

  • Q: What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Small‑batch orders for standard in‑stock cup sleeves are accepted. Custom printed products have MOQ requirements; larger quantities enjoy more favourable unit prices.

  • Q: How long is a quotation valid?

Quotations are valid for 7‑15 days. Prices are subject to adjustment based on fluctuations in raw paper material costs.

  • Q: What is your production and delivery lead time?

In‑stock products ship within 3 days. Regular custom orders take 7‑12 days. Extra‑large orders require prior discussion of production scheduling.

  • Q: Can your capacity handle large orders?

Yes. With an annual output of 600 million corrugated cup sheets and 300 million cup sleeves, and fully automated production lines, we can stably undertake large‑volume export orders and chain‑brand contracts.

  • Q: What ink do you use? Is it environmentally friendly?

We use water‑based eco‑friendly inks throughout the production line – no pungent odour, compliant with food‑contact paper standards, and suitable for hot beverage packaging.

  • Q: Do you support multi‑colour printing?

Yes. We are equipped with five‑colour web printing presses, capable of custom printing multi‑colour logos and patterns.

  • Q: How do you prevent damage and moisture during transportation?

Products are packed in moisture‑proof cartons and reinforced with extra strapping to reduce transit damage and humidity‑related losses.

  • Q: What if I receive defective products?

Please provide photo evidence within 48 hours of receipt. After our verification of production‑related defects, we will negotiate either a replacement or a price adjustment.
